Friday Lunch & Learn: Celebrating Our Team—Plus CPR Training

Last Friday’s Lunch & Learn at Gregory Forrest Lester, Inc. was packed with celebration, recognition, and hands-on learning.

Celebrating Our Team’s Milestones

We kicked things off by recognizing Omar for an incredible 10 years with the company! A decade of hard work and dedication is no small feat, and we were proud to celebrate his commitment to the team.

We also marked Jeff’s one-year anniversary, and as a thank-you for his solid first year, he got to choose a Protos helmet—a well-earned reward for his dedication.

Our Employee of the Month, Shane, was also recognized for his outstanding efforts. And with the official opening of our Timber Token Store, employees were able to start redeeming their nomination-earned tokens for gear and rewards.

CPR & First Aid Training with Green Township Fire & EMS

After enjoying a Taste of Belgium lunch, we headed to Kuliga Park for a CPR and first aid training session, led by Green Township paramedics Holly and Jeremy.

Every team member (including Lester Leaf) had the opportunity to practice hands-only CPR on dummies, learning the proper technique for chest compressions and how to respond effectively in an emergency. The paramedics also walked us through scenarios involving unconscious individuals and situations where first aid is necessary, ensuring our team understands how to react quickly and confidently.

Our team works hard every day to prioritize safety, but this training reinforced just how important it is to be prepared—not just on the job, but in everyday life. Knowing that every team member now has a basic understanding of CPR and first aid gives us confidence that, if trouble ever arises, we can step in and make a difference.
