What is takes to be a Board-Certified Master Arborist:
The ISA Board Certified Master Arborist® credential is the highest level of
certification offered by ISA.
This credential recognizes ISA Certified Arborists®
who have reached the pinnacle of their profession.
In addition to passing an extensive scenario-based exam, candidates must abide by a
Code of Ethics,
which ensures quality of work.
Fewer than 2% of all ISA Certified Arborists® currently hold this certification.

To earn an ISA Certified Arborist credential, you must be trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of arboriculture. ISA Certified Arborists must also adhere to the Code of Ethics that strengthens the credibility and reliability of the workforce. 3 years minimum eligible, practical work experience in arboriculture & pass a 12-part exam. Continuing Education Units (CEU) each year to maintain certification.

In addition to having multiple ISA Baord Certified Master Arborist and ISA Certified Arborists on staff, 9 members of our team have completed the ISA’s Prescription Pruning Qualification (PPQ) — an advanced training program based on the research of Dr. Ed Gilman and the International Society of Arboriculture. This credential emphasizes clear communication between the arborist prescribing the work and the crew performing it, ensuring every pruning decision supports tree health, safety, and structure.
